Let’s Start With Rei and Ki

In this article we will be searching the answer of most searched inquiry: Is Reiki a religion?

However, before directly jumping to the topic, I believe it is more appropriate to fastly clarify some basic definitions regarding Reiki.

Rei means universal, divinely-guided or omnipresent – present everywhere at the same time.

Esoterically, Rei means spiritual consciousness, the omniscient wisdom from God or the higher self.

Ki is the non-physical vitality that gives life to all living things.

Many cultures understand and recognize the importance of Ki and how it impacts our lives and well-being.

Ki can be activated for the purpose of healing.

When you feel healthy and full of enthusiasm, the flow of Ki in your body is high and unencumbered.

Life seems easier to deal with and you have a higher resistance to illness and disease.

However, when your Ki is low because you are under stress or feeling unhappy and tired, you are more susceptible to disease and sickness.

Your attitude will be generally negative and you will find it difficult to deal with life’s challenges.

Ki is the very essence of the soul; it leaves the body when a person dies.

How Reiki Works?

There are quit a lot scientific evidence on how Reiki works; you can reach literature papers from here.

On the other hand,

Reiki is holistic, working on the body, mind and soul-level by stimulating one’s own natural healing abilities.

Blocked emotional and physical elements that lead to illness and disease are cleared.

Neither positive nor negative, and of Divine origin, Reiki is the highest and most profound vibration, connecting with all living things in our world.

Reiki is pure, unconditional love and joy bringing all who experience and embrace its principles together in harmony.

Is Reiki A Religion?

When you make a Google search, you will obsolutely see that one of the top inquiries is “Is Reiki a religion?”

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, Reiki is not a religion!!!

It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in to learn and use it.

Reiki is used by many faiths and religions as well as free thinkers and followers of many different philosophies.

While it has nothing to do with any religion it can enhance a person’s religious beliefs by giving them a greater feeling of connectedness to the source.

Each person draws exactly what they need at that time.

Remember that we cannot direct Reiki to specific conditions and that it may work in unexpected ways.

The client may not be relieved of a condition that they hoped to be relieved of.

But they may find that other benefits have occurred, such as emotional release or improvement in a condition that they have had for long and have become accustomed to.

Whatever healing occurs will be for the person’s highest good…
